Introduction
Wheelers ePlatform Limited is committed to conducting business in an ethical and responsible manner, which includes taking steps to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our organization and supply chain. This Modern Slavery Policy outlines our approach to ensuring compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018. It demonstrates our commitment to upholding human rights and labour standards.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, officers, directors, contractors, and third parties associated with Wheelers ePlatform Limited, including suppliers, partners, and any other parties with whom we do business. The policy covers all aspects of our business operations, including the procurement of goods and services, the employment and management of staff, and our relationships with suppliers and business partners.
Definitions
Modern slavery encompasses various forms of exploitation, including forced labour, child labour, human trafficking, and other forms of servitude that deprive individuals of their freedom and dignity. It is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights.
Policy Statement
4.1. Zero Tolerance: Wheelers ePlatform Limited maintains a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our organization or supply chain.
4.2. Compliance with Laws: We are committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to the prevention of modern slavery, including the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018. We will cooperate fully with any relevant authorities in the investigation and prosecution of any suspected cases of modern slavery.
4.3. Risk Assessment: We will regularly assess the risk of modern slavery within our organization and supply chain and implement appropriate measures to mitigate those risks.
4.4. Supplier Due Diligence: We will conduct thorough due diligence on our suppliers, partners, and other third parties to ensure that they adhere to our high ethical standards and share our commitment to preventing modern slavery.
Responsibilities
5.1. Management: The management of Wheelers ePlatform Limited is responsible for establishing, reviewing, and enforcing this Modern Slavery Policy and ensuring that all employees and contractors are aware of and comply with its provisions.
5.2. Employees and Contractors: All employees and contractors of Wheelers ePlatform Limited are expected to read, understand, and comply with this policy, and to report any suspected instances of modern slavery or human trafficking to the appropriate authorities or management.
Reporting
Employees and contractors are encouraged to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking within our organization or supply chain. Reports can be made confidentially and without fear of retaliation to dpo@eplatform.co
Training and Awareness
Wheelers ePlatform Limited will provide regular training and raise awareness about the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, including how to identify and report suspected cases. This training will be mandatory for all employees, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and supply chain management.
Policy Review and Updates
This Modern Slavery Policy will be reviewed regularly, at least annually or more frequently if needed, to ensure that it remains effective and up to date with any changes in legislation, technology, or internal processes. Updates to the policy will be communicated to all employees and relevant stakeholders.
