Join a consortium of American schools like yours and access a professionally curated collection of leading international and local titles, dynamically managed by our selectors. Your school accesses the collection through its own branded portal, with full control to add new titles, apply age restrictions, or disable specific titles as needed.
Our eBook collection is split into primary and secondary collections, each curated to suit specific year levels, interests, and curriculum needs. With a broad mix of fiction, classics, and nonfiction, it supports classroom learning, recreational reading, and independent study. It’s a flexible, engaging way to build a rich digital library for your whole school. Learn more about our eBook Collections.
The audiobook collection is available in separate primary and secondary collections, with age-appropriate fiction and nonfiction across genres, authors, and reading levels. Titles support classroom texts, literacy development, and reading for pleasure. Audiobooks are ideal for students who benefit from listening, alternative access, or who are building fluency through audio. Learn more about our Audiobook Collections.
Designed for early years, this collection includes hundreds of decodable books aligned with a clear phonics sequence. It features both fiction and nonfiction with controlled text, engaging content, and levelled progression to match synthetic phonics instruction. It also includes BookLife and Blastoff Levelled Readers — providing flexible options for early readers and EAL/D support. Learn more about our Decodable Readers.
The Wellness Collection supports secondary students with titles on identity, resilience, self-esteem, anxiety, and mental health. Curated with input from counsellors and wellbeing practitioners, it reflects the diverse needs and lived experiences of students. These resources offer a safe entry point into wellbeing conversations, both in and beyond the classroom. Learn more about our Wellness Collections.
This is a collaborative effort. The core of the collection is built around the statistical data we have from the thousands of school eLibraries that we already provide, so we can see what's popular for what age groups in each country we serve. From there, we canvas suggestions from member schools who may have special requirements and suggestions. We ensure that each title from our Shared Collections has appeal to more than just one member so that the most relevant collection is built to serve the member community.
Even though you will be joining a Shared Collection, you'll be in control of many aspects of your ePlatform. You can choose the look and feel, web address, school logo to match your school's branding, and you can customise other aspects such as special messages to students. You will also be able to age restrict titles, manage your student's access and view usage reports.
If you have a private collection, your students can borrow all the books in the collection, however in our Shared Collections, we need to ensure each member school has equal access to the titles. We do this by having generous limits on simultaneous loans and loans per month. We've set these limits generously and ensured the collection has the depth to support them. Contact us for details but we are sure you will find they easily exceed your expected student usage.
For the great majority of schools, ePlatform's Shared Collections meet their needs, providing collection breadth, which would be very expensive to match in a private collection. However, some schools have special requirements for titles not in the shared collection or may want more copies of some titles for class set purposes. In these cases, you can build a private collection by purchasing books via the ePlatform shop which are then immediately available and visible to your students.
Preparing your ePlatform to look amazing with your look and logo is easy. Often we create the banner header area for you using elements from your school's webpage and images - if you are happy with this there is nothing for you to do. In other cases schools prefer to prepare and supply us with their own graphics and that's completely fine.
Adding students to access your eLibrary can be daunting, but we have made this super easy by offering some extremely simple methods that will not require IT department assistance and will have you sorted in minutes. Of course we also support LMS integrated methods such as LDAP and SIP2. We suggest start with the simple method to keep momentum going and then switch to the LMS integrated method later. More information on this here.
Once your new eLibrary is looking fantastic it's time to launch it to your students. We are absolutely passionate about student usage. We will help you by providing promotional materials such as posters, bookmarks, shelf wobblers that you can display in the library. We also have a large range of digital assets that you can use to promote the eLibrary on your school's homepage.
ePlatform's Shared Collections are carefully curated digital libraries that multiple schools can collaboratively access by joining a consortium. They are designed to provide schools with immediate, cost-effective access to a broad and diverse range of eBooks and audiobooks, far exceeding what most schools could afford to license individually. These collections are specifically tailored to different geographic regions and age groups (primary and secondary) to ensure the content is relevant and appropriate for your students.
When a school subscribes to an ePlatform Shared Collection (eBooks or audiobooks), they gain immediate collective access to a professionally curated collection of digital resources. This subscription model significantly reduces costs for individual schools by eliminating the need to purchase every title separately. Each participating school receives its own branded ePlatform, where students can borrow titles from the shared collection. While the titles are shared among consortium members, ePlatform provides generous loan limits to ensure fair and equitable access for all schools, ensuring a vast collection remains accessible to all students.
Titles for our Shared Collections are chosen through a multi-faceted approach by our team of professional selectors. This process involves leveraging statistical data from thousands of existing school eLibraries to identify popular and frequently borrowed titles for specific age groups and regions. The curation also includes newly released titles, award winners, and titles that align with curriculum needs. Suggestions and requests from member schools within the consortium are also considered to ensure the collections remain highly relevant and responsive to the community's needs.
ePlatform's Shared Collections are updated regularly to ensure they remain dynamic and current. New eBook, audiobook, and wellness titles are added on a frequent, typically monthly, basis. This continuous addition of fresh content ensures that students always have access to new and engaging reading material, reflecting current interests, bestsellers, and curriculum requirements. When adding new titles to our shared collections, our team of selectors consults with publishers regarding title availability and considers demand from other schools for the same title.
Yes, absolutely. While ePlatform's Shared Collections provide an expansive and affordable core library, schools have the complete flexibility to build their own private collections. This is achieved by purchasing exclusive titles from ePlatform's vast catalog of over a million options. These privately owned titles sit seamlessly alongside the shared collection on the school's branded platform, allowing schools to deepen their library for specific curriculum needs, class sets, or unique student interests.
